Biofeedback is a high-end technology you can use to learn to manage your body functions such as high/low blood pressure, migraine headaches, muscle activity, heart rate and anything in between. Biotech session implies that electrodes/sensors are attached to your skin. By sending signals to the display these electrodes/sensors make it possible to represent various body conditions in sounds, flash light or graphics.
By getting quick feedback on the screen, you can try to slow down your heart rate, lower/increase your blood pressure, relieve muscle tension, etc. Eventually, you'll learn how to keep control over these conditions on your own, without biofeedback equipment. The idea behind this technology is that by monitoring what’s happening inside your body, you can get an immediate feedback and try to gain control over particular conditions to achieve best results. Researchers aren't exactly sure how or why this technology works. Still they can’t deny that biofeedback promotes relaxation allowing to relieve a number of conditions having close relation to stress.
Biofeedback is also can be referred to as biofeedback training as it is used to help manage physical/mental health problems, like:
· Sleep apnea
· Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
· Anxiety or stress
· Fecal incontinence
· Chemotherapy side effects
· And many more
